This collection was born from the idea of seeing butterflies as a sign at points in my life when I needed it, its powerful symbolism lifted me up when my faith in myself and my dreams wavered. A recurring message from the universe in the past year has been that I should continue to stay on this path of following my dreams, assuring me that I am creating magic.

My intention with this collection is to bring some of that butterfly totem magic to your sacred space, your home!

The element of water inspire the colour scheme of this original mixed-media abstract, and the forms are a deconstruction of the Orange Oak Leaf butterfly.

Water makes up about 70% of the composition of our body and the earth’s surface, representing flow, the conception of new ideas, healing energy and restoration. Water is associated with the Sacral Chakra and, in a balanced state, induces creativity, pleasure, spirituality and authentic expression.

Medium: Khadi Papers India 320 gsm Artists’ handmade paper made from 100% long fibred cotton rag. Internally sized with neutral pH size. Tub-sized (surface sized) with gelatine. Acid-free. Smooth surface. Deckle edged.

Professional Artist Grade Archival Watercolour Paints from Daniel Smith, Sennelier, White Nights, Winsor & Newton, Schmincke, and from handmade paint makers Blue Pine Arts, Simone Michiels and Luminosa Colours.

 

The frame is not included, it is solely for you to visualize how the artwork will look framed in your home.
